Welcome to the Campbell Bay Music Fest! We are a small music festival held in a beautiful waterfront setting on SḴŦAḴ / Mayne Island in BC’s Gulf Islands. We present emerging artists in a diverse array of genres, and have a simple mission – bringing musicians and music lovers together for a really, really good time. We believe in great music and great sound! Follow us on Facebook or Instagram for updates.

The 2023 festival dates are June 23-25. Tickets are available now, and volunteer opportunities are open until May 1st.

We also present a few events on Mayne throughout the year, see Campbell Bay Music Fest Presents!

Founded in 2009, the Campbell Bay Music Fest has grown organically from a music party hosted by a few friends with a van full of lumber, to a registered BC Non Profit Society presenting incredible artists from Newfoundland to Argentina, and showcasing outstanding emerging BC acts. We feature multiple genres, with a focus on progressive music and music rooted in folk traditions, and we always aim to have something you’ve never heard before. Check out our past performers list for a sense of what we’re into!

The festival centres around a wooden stage on the edge between a forest and a field, with art installations tucked into the trees and food & drink vendors out in the grass.

Campbell Bay Music Festival is held on the un-ceded traditional territories of the Straits Salish peoples, on the Island called SḴŦAḴ in SENĆOŦEN and later called Mayne in English. On the island is Tsartlip Reserve #6 which gives our community a special relationship with the Tsartlip (W̱JOȽEȽP) village near Brentwood Bay who are part of the W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations. These are SENĆOŦEN speaking people who have been here for millennia and who have rich artistic and traditional culture connected to Mayne Island. We extend our thanks and gratitude to them and acknowledge the privilege of enjoying this beautiful place in their territory.  We are pleased to share some videos made in 2020 in collaboration with W̱SÁNEĆ Elders and Artists, click here to watch.
