SUMMARY:Trucker n’ Trades Parade
DESCRIPTION:Fresco Refrigeration and the Salt Spring Chamber of Commerce\, with support from Windsor Plywood and Mouat’s\, are teaming up to host the first ever Annual Trucker n’ Trades Parade. Trades and truckers are registering to light up their trucks\, play some tunes\, toss some candy\, celebrate the holiday season with our community\, and send proceeds from the parade to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Rick Andrews. The parade will start and end at Windsor Plywood\, weaving through Ganges\, up to Country Grocer and return via Atkins and Rainbow Road. Find your spot along the parade route Salt Spring Island Chamber of Commerce – Trucker n’ Trades Holiday Parade and watch the lights go by. \nAfter the parade\, wander to Windsor Plywood to enjoy a Hot Chocolate or Hot Apple Cider and check out some of the trucks up close. Windsor Plywood will also have a donation bin should community members wish to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Rick Andrews.

Expect more than 20\,000 books across 30-plus genres\, a curated bling room with vintage and designer pieces\, and a friendly\, community-first vibe that makes browsing feel like a treasure hunt with your savviest friend. \nKey dates & hours\n\nMembers Preview Night\, Thursday November 6\, 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (members only).\nPublic sale\, Friday November 7 to Saturday November 8\, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.\nFinal sale day\, Sunday November 9\, 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.\n\nWhat to expect at Salt Spring Books And Bling Sale\nYou will find well organized tables of fiction and nonfiction\, a children’s section with bargain prices\, and a Bling Room featuring designer\, vintage and costume jewelry priced from about $2 to $200. Special\, valuable volumes are appraised and displayed separately. DESCRIPTION:Little Clickers\, a youth-oriented photography collective\, meets at 11am each scheduled Friday at the Yellowhouse. August 16\, 23 and 30) Galiano photographer John McFetrick leads a supervised exploration of island locales where photographers explore and create images from their unique perspectives. Participants should dress for weather\, bring bug spray\, drinking water and a lunch/snack pack.\nThis workshop is being held on the unsurrendered\, shared traditional territories of Penelakut\, Lamalcha\, Hwitslum and other Hul’qumi’num and SENĆOŦEN speaking peoples\, Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano\, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation\, on what is now known as Galiano Island.
