SUMMARY:Bluewater Cruising Women on Water
DESCRIPTION:The Bluewater Cruising Association “Women on Water” is March 14 to 15th\, 2026\, at the Mary Windspear Centre in Sidney\, BC. An event to create space for women\, power or sail\, whether you run a 28-foot express or a 58-foot motor yacht\, to deepen your skills\, compare notes\, and build real confidence. Not performative confidence. The kind that shows up when the wind pipes up at the fuel dock\, or a pump makes a sound you’ve never heard before. \nWhat I love most is the range of experience in the room. Some attendees are newer to boating and hungry to understand systems\, navigation\, and weather patterns. Others have logged thousands of nautical miles and simply want to sharpen their knowledge or connect with other capable women who understand the rhythm of life afloat. \nIt’s not about excluding anyone. It’s about learning in an environment where questions are welcomed\, and curiosity is respected. \nWe talk about boat systems\, electrical\, water\, and sanitation\, because understanding how your boat works changes everything. We talk about handling lines\, reading conditions\, and making decisions. And we talk about perspective. Because boating isn’t just mechanics. It’s a mindset. \nWhen women understand their boats\, they move differently onboard. They make calmer choices. They trust themselves. And that confidence ripples outward\, to their partners\, their crews\, and their communities. \nThere’s also something deeply reassuring about shared experience. Dock stories. Near misses. Lessons learned. The laughter that comes when you realize you’re not the only one who once forgot to switch the battery selector. \nWomen on Water isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming more fully yourself at the helm. \nAnd that\, in my opinion\, is where the real magic lives. \nFor all the details\, visit https://missygoesboating.com/events/missy-goes-boating-women-on-water-2026/
