SUMMARY:Public Art Workshops with youth 12+
DESCRIPTION:The second edition of the Public Art Workshops for youth 12+ with local artist Jimena De Miguel is here! During July and August 2024\, we will have weekly sessions where we will develop ideas and create a variety of public arts.\nThis is multidisciplinary workshop series are designed for Galiano + guest youth aged 12+ and is being offered free or by donation.\nThe 1st meeting is scheduled on Friday July 5\, 2pm-4pm. We hope to meet same time on Fridays but we want to decide together with participating youth.\nPlease email us at info@yellowhouseartcentre.ca with any questions.\nThis event is being held on the unceded\, shared traditional territories of Penelakut\, Lamalcha\, Hwitslum and other Hul’qumi’num and SENĆOŦEN speaking peoples\, Coast Salish Peoples of Galiano\, as well as the ceded territories of Tsawwassen First Nation\, on what is now known as Galiano Island. We are grateful for the generosity of CRD Arts & Culture\, the government of BC and BC Arts Council.
