SUMMARY:Wine Dinner | Cellar Series 2026
DESCRIPTION:A one-night wine dinner showcasing exclusive Belgard Kitchen dishes paired with Vancouver Urban Winery wines\, shared around the table.\n\n\nIf you’re looking for a reason to treat yourself (and honestly\, you are)\, you have to come to our first Cellar series Wine Dinner of 2026. It’s one of those nights that feels a little special from the second you sit down\, cosy\, delicious\, and the kind of evening that’s just better shared with someone you love. \nWe’re pairing a multi-course dinner with wines from Vancouver Urban Winery (yes our own label)\, where each course is designed to bring out something beautiful in the glass. These are exclusive dishes you won’t find on our regular menu\, made just for this event. \nYou’ll start with a little surprise from the kitchen (trust us)\, then settle into a roasted carrot & date salad paired with our bright Belle Blanche sparkling white. Next up is a dreamy scallop & fennel risotto with our crisp ’55’ white wine – rich\, elegant\, and seriously comforting. \nFor the main course\, we’re serving slow-roasted porchetta alongside a Sicilian-style potato salad with baby potatoes\, artichokes\, and olives\, perfectly matched with our Vanbrusco (it’s fun\, bold\, and so good with this dish). \nAnd dessert? A silky chocolate mousse with figs\, cherry\, and hazelnut praline\, paired with our ‘55′ Red. All designed to be the kind of ending that makes you want to linger just a little longer. \nCome hungry\, come cosy\, and come ready for a night of incredible food\, beautiful wine\, and the best kind of atmosphere.

SUMMARY:Bluewater Cruising Women on Water
DESCRIPTION:The Bluewater Cruising Association “Women on Water” is March 14 to 15th\, 2026\, at the Mary Windspear Centre in Sidney\, BC. An event to create space for women\, power or sail\, whether you run a 28-foot express or a 58-foot motor yacht\, to deepen your skills\, compare notes\, and build real confidence. Not performative confidence. The kind that shows up when the wind pipes up at the fuel dock\, or a pump makes a sound you’ve never heard before. \nWhat I love most is the range of experience in the room. Some attendees are newer to boating and hungry to understand systems\, navigation\, and weather patterns. Others have logged thousands of nautical miles and simply want to sharpen their knowledge or connect with other capable women who understand the rhythm of life afloat. \nIt’s not about excluding anyone. It’s about learning in an environment where questions are welcomed\, and curiosity is respected. \nWe talk about boat systems\, electrical\, water\, and sanitation\, because understanding how your boat works changes everything. We talk about handling lines\, reading conditions\, and making decisions. And we talk about perspective. Because boating isn’t just mechanics. It’s a mindset. \nWhen women understand their boats\, they move differently onboard. They make calmer choices. They trust themselves. And that confidence ripples outward\, to their partners\, their crews\, and their communities. \nThere’s also something deeply reassuring about shared experience. Dock stories. Near misses. Lessons learned. The laughter that comes when you realize you’re not the only one who once forgot to switch the battery selector. \nWomen on Water isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about becoming more fully yourself at the helm. \nAnd that\, in my opinion\, is where the real magic lives. \nFor all the details\, visit https://missygoesboating.com/events/missy-goes-boating-women-on-water-2026/

SUMMARY:Wine Beyond the Buzzwords
DESCRIPTION:If you are looking for an engaging\, approachable evening ideal for all levels of wine drinkers\, come and decode wine terms.\n\n\nWe hear terms like organic\, low-intervention\, natural\, sustainable\, vegan\, low sugar\, and low-alcohol everywhere\, but what do they actually mean in the glass? If you are looking for an engaging\, approachable evening ideal for all levels of wine drinkers\, come and decode today’s most talked-about wine terms. You will explore how these buzzwords translate into the bottle without the jargon and taste first hand how thoughtful farming and winemaking choices shape the wines we drink today. This guided tasting is hosted by Jasmine Montgomery\, sommelier and founder of Fenix Cellars\, she has 2 decades in the wine and hospitality industry with 15 of them spent in Mendoza Argentina. Featured Wines by Bodega Clement\, Mendoza ArgentinaWhy Argentina? Argentina is quietly leading the way in many of these conversations\, with organically farmed vineyards\, low-intervention winemaking\, heritage varietals\, and naturally balanced wines that rely less on heavy manipulation and more on place. This tasting highlights that evolution through a carefully curated lineup. This tasting includes five low-intervention\, sustainably sourced wines from Bodega Clement\, a producer founded by Lis Clement\, creator of Malbec World Day and a pioneer of modern Argentine wine.

SUMMARY:Professional Chocolate Tasting 101: Explore Origins\, Styles\, & Profiles
DESCRIPTION:Flight of 10 chocolate samples from various makers\, styles\, and cacao origins around the world. Ethical & Nutritious.\n\n\nChocolate has entered a new era: the era of craft bean-to-bar chocolate. For many people chocolate is a sweet indulgent\, often associated with mass production and unethical sourcing of cacao. The good news is\, there are many people in the world creating a new kind of chocolate. A chocolate that can taste and feel very different\, with simple and pure ingredients\, and sourcing that goes even above Fairtrade standards. It is something that 20 years ago basically didn’t exist. \nThis tasting is hosted by Geoseph who has worked in the chocolate industry for nearly 20 years. We will explore a flight of single-origin and flavoured bars that push the boundaries of chocolate expecations. Some you may love\, some you may hate\, but we’re going to explore this new flavour territory together. \n \nIncludes: Flight of 10 samples of dark and flavoured chocolate – all of which will be nut\, gluten\, and dairy-free (vegan)* *Although I can’t guarantee no traces. Also includes a flavour wheel keepsake\, and tasting guide\, and coupon code for your first online shop purchase at scienceofchocolate.com \nTasting: Interactive\, fun\, and low-key. Come as you are (beginners very welcome). We will relax\, have music\, socialize\, and learn together. \nWe will learn about the makers and origins of your chocolate\, some information on the process of chocolate making\, and an open discussion about your analysis of the bars (there are no wrong answers here – you’re opinion is encouraged). It’s a great time for nerds who love to learn about their food. \nThe goal of this tasting is not to make you feel bad for enjoying the chocolate you enjoy\, but simply to learn about other chocolate\, other styles\, and other views. Have fun exploring ideas and flavours you may not have encountered in chocolate before. \n \nPrepare: These are important: \n\nBe hungry! Being full impedes your ability to pick up flavour. Plan your meal after the tasting if possible\, or eat something very light.\nNo perfumes/colognes/strong odours. Olfaction is key to flavour\, and this will impede yours and others to enjoy the experience.\nWear comfortable clothes.\n\n \nTickets: Purchase tickets and include cell phone number in case you need to be reached. Please ensure you can commit before purchasing. No refunds for same-day cancellations or no-shows.
