Plastic Soap Dispenser made from Ocean Debris

Method introduced a new dish and hand soap packaged in a plastic bottle made from ocean debris.  Company employees actually collected the plastic debris in Hawaii from the so-called Great Pacific garbage patch.

Mr. Lowry, the company’s chief greenskeeper, said that the process was not cost effective, but that economy was hardly the point. “We want to create a conversation about recycling plastics,” he said. “The real objective is to make the point that we ought to work with the plastics already on the planet.”

The limited edition bottle is available at Whole Foods for around $5.
