Basic Bread Machine Boat Bread

A quick and easy recipe that can be used with the one-hour express setting on your bread machine.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1/4 cup vegetable or olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 packet bread machine yeast (rapid for express bake or active for basic)

Equipment

  • 1 Bread Machine - Express bake cycle uses less battery power if you are at anchor

Method
 

  1. Pour the water into the bread machine pan first
  2. Add the dry ingredients
  3. Make a small indent in the top of the dry ingredients for the yeast - don't let it touch the water
  4. Select the basic or express bake setting
  5. Remove loaf from the machine after the cycle is done; cool in the pan for 5 minutes before turning it out onto a rack to cool completely
