The Best Ice for your Boating Beverages

I set out to discover the best ice cube or, at least, which would last the longest in my glass. I chose four different types: restaurant cubes, homemade cubes from a tray, giant ice balls and, of course, diamond-shaped cubes. As I embarked on this quest for the best ice for your boating beverages, I tried this experiment last year, but, in true Missy fashion, I got to talking, and when I turned around, all the cubes had melted.

This year, I armed myself with a time-lapse camera and caught the whole thing on video. All of the cubes spent the night before in the same freezer, so they all had a level playing field. I filled each glass with ice and placed them in the hot sun, around 23 Celsius, to see which would be the best ice for your boating beverages.

And the winner is…..
