Community Stargazing Night
Science Meets Story and Singing on the Grandest Stage in the Universe 🌃
The night sky is calling. For millenia, humans have gazed at the stars with awe and wonder, crafting elaborate mythologies and explanations for the magnificent, the untouchable, the inexplicable cosmos beyond. The stories and histories of all of our ancestors are written in the night sky.
Can you hear it? The stars are asking you to venture out into the cool autumn air, to listen to the scientific and cultural stories of those ancient and modern stargazers, to remember what is stored in your body – that feeling of awe and wonder.
The Community Stargazing Night is an invitation to gather under the open sky, around a warm fire, to connect with the night sky. You’ll be guided by Astronomy Enthusiasts, Storytellers and a Vocal Quartet through a journey of science, story and singing that will ignite the fire of inspiration to begin or continue your own journey with the stars, complete with binoculars, telescopes, and an astronomy laser. This FREE event is intended to bring the community together in connection with the cosmos 🔭
