This annual event celebrates our region’s rich cultures and heritage, diverse Olympic Coast cuisine, and local environmental initiatives. The Dungeness Crab Festival partners with local educational organizations to enhance awareness of the natural resources and challenges of the Olympic Peninsula. CrabFest brings together area communities to celebrate different traditions, always with free admission.
Throughout CrabFest weekend, visitors can indulge in a spectacular array of food, beverages, and live music. The event is centred around the enormous Crab Central Tent, also known as “The Claw,” which stretches onto Port Angeles City Pier.
The fun continues along Lincoln Street to The Gateway Pavilion, where festival attendees can experience the traditional flavours and atmospheres of the Olympic Peninsula.
The Port Angeles City Pier bustles with atmosphere and activities all weekend long. Beyond the fresh, ready-to-eat Dungeness crab available for takeout, the festival features live music across three stages and over 75 booths including crafts, merchant displays, nonprofit organizations, and food vendors.
Highlights include a Saturday U.S. Coast Guard Air-Sea Rescue demonstration and a 5k fun run. Additionally, visitors can explore the Feiro Marine Science Center for a small fee, and might even spot whales and sea lions from the recently renovated pier tower.
