This Father’s Day, I took my dad for lunch at the Genoa Bay Café. The food and service were fabulous and rumour has it that on July 1st, they will be opening a coffee shack on the dock from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. If you have details, please feel free to post them to my blog, as I love the feedback. After lunch, we walked along the dock to check out the boats and found some fabulous outdoor art displayed on the various boat houses. The piece that caught my eye was a large round saw blade surrounded by golf club handles, and in the centre, the club heads! Something I should probably contemplate for my golf clubs, but more on that in a later blog.
If you haven’t been, Genoa Bay is located on the North side of Cowichan Bay. It is an easy entrance but watch the shallows, rocks and reefs at the entrance. We have anchored in the bay a number of times and always enjoyed it.
