Women’s Day at the Seattle Boat Show

Monday, February 1st, 2016, is Women’s Day at the Seattle Boat Show, with special seminars and presentations designed for women who boat. For a free pass to the show, click here

The Seattle Boat Show University offers an all-day class for women power-boaters and sailors, “A Woman’s Perspective: 101 Practical Tips for Safe and Fun Cruising“.  Topics to be discussed will include electronic navigation and communications, preparing for emergencies, avoiding seasickness, and fundamentals of marine engines and systems.

The instructors are Linda Lewis and Margaret Pommert. Linda has a US Coast Guard 100-Ton Master’s licence, is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Washington, is a boating instructor and is a member of Northwest Women in Boating.  Margaret is an engineer, certified sailing instructor and leads the Seattle Sailing Women’s group.

The course runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the cost is $100, reserve your seat here.
