Reynolds Foil Bags – Bon Crabbétit!

Reynold Foil Bags edited 12

My friends on Departure hooked me up with these bags, and I love them!  We use them to steam crab on the BBQ.  Simply open the Reynold’s Aluminum Foil Hot Bag and throw in 2 or 3 large Dungeness crabs (we remove the caps, split them in half and clean them thoroughly).

We usually add fresh lemon and a bit of butter but have also used olive oil, sliced onions and Chef Prudhomme’s Blackened Redfish Magic.  Seal the bag and let it sit on the BBQ for about 15 minutes.  It is ready to serve on the dock with no pots to clean.  Bon Crabbétit!

We used to be able to find these bags at Walmart in Canada or Target in the US but have been having a bit of a challenge locating them.  The manufacturer’s website said that they have been discontinued.  Until we find some locally or convince Superstore to make their own, we have been using store-brand heavy-duty foil and making our own bags.

I recently found some from Kingsford on Amazon but they are a bit pricey. (This is an affiliate link).

I only endorse products I have used or that come highly recommended by a fellow boater.  If you purchase a product through an Amazon affiliate link, I may receive a small commission.  However, there is no extra cost to you.  I am not recommending products solely for the commission, I am doing it so I can try more cool products.
