Ice Balls by Prepara

ice balls Final edited 13

I find that sitting on the back deck, my ice cubes melt before my drink is finished.  I thought wouldn’t be cool to find a giant one-cube tray but had no luck.  However, my Google search led me to www.prepara.com

This site is full of kitchen gadgets, including 2” ice ball moulds.  I bought a package of 4 moulds online for $20, including shipping and handling, as the company is based in New York.

They are easy to fill and freeze overnight.  I made up a batch of two dozen at home and took them to the boat for the weekend.  I made some with mint leaves for my mojitos and others with lemons and limes.  They last much longer than a traditional cube and are a great conversation piece!

They are also available on Amazon, and this is an affiliate link.
